SHAPES for Maya

Recent Changes.

A full record of additions, improvements, and fixes across all current releases. Recommended reading before upgrading.

Added
  • Added support for Maya 2027.
  • RBF algorithm update for the weightDriver node. The change combines version 3 and 4 with better interpolation and control. Existing nodes with interpolation set to linear may need adjustment as the order of interpolation kernels has changed — a warning is issued in this case. Requires weightDriver 5 or later.
  • Added two options to mute and disable a weightDriver RBF pose target.
  • Added Unlink And Hold and Relink to the channel commands to unlink and relink multiple target items on demand.
  • Added a channel command to remove all target data from all selected shapes.
  • Combo driver or target shapes can now be directly replaced in their posed state.
  • Improved the check for loading the correct version of the weightDriver plug-in.
Fixed
  • Fixed some issues with the SHAPES menu item not appearing in the Maya main menu bar.
  • Fixed a float precision discrepancy between the channel slider and the slider range settings.
